Auf dem Foto sieht alles halb so wild aus, aber es war wirklich heftig. Da wir etwas ähnliches schon vor ein paar Wochen erlebt haben, wussten wir, was auf uns zukam. Daher haben wir uns entsprechend vorbereitet: Das Segel ordentlich verpackt, das Deck geräumt und die FRIENDSHIP gut vertäut, aber weit genug vom Kai entfernt (ca. 3 m). Die Boote auf dem Bild sind gestern Abend angekommen und liegen im Dreier-Päckchen, die anderen Dreier-Päckchen haben den Hafen morgens verlassen, die hier fühlen sich in der Gruppe wohl.
Der Wind weht aus Süden, d.h., direkt in den Hafen und die Welle kann sich aufbauen. Wir schaukeln heftig, aber alles kein Problem. Die Päckchen-Schiffe haben da größere Probleme und schlagen gegeneinander bis sie die Entscheidung treffen, den Liegeplatz zu verlassen. Es ist Hafenkino pur und auch ein Lehrstück, wie man es besser nicht machen sollte...
It all looks half as wild in the photo, but it was really violent. As we had already experienced something similar a few weeks ago, we knew what to expect. So we prepared ourselves accordingly: The sail neatly packed, the deck cleared and the FRIENDSHIP well moored, but far enough away from the quay (approx. 3 m). The boats in the picture arrived yesterday evening and are moored in a pack of three, the other packs of three left the harbor in the morning, these ones feel comfortable in the group.
The wind is blowing from the south, i.e. directly into the harbor and the wave can build up. We are rocking violently, but no problem. The packet boats have bigger problems and beat against each other until they decide to leave the berth. It's pure harbor cinema and also a lesson in how not to do it...
