Sonnenschein, nur 1 m Welle… und seit 30 Minuten leider auch fast kein Wind
Letzte Nacht hatten wir davon fast noch mehr als uns lieb war. Bis zu 8 Bft, teilweise für über eine Stunde. Da wir jetzt nur noch zu dritt unterwegs sind, hatten wir schon vorausschauend
gerefft, damit die Freiwachen möglichst ausreichend Schlaf bekommen. Das hat fast geklappt - ab 02:00 Uhr allerdings legte der Wind dann stetig zu und so mussten wir dann doch noch zu zweit raus,
um unsere Genua ganz weg zu rollen.
Danach ging es nur mit dem Großsegel im dritten Reff immer noch sehr flott zur Sache, über lange Strecken rauschten wir mit 8 -12 kn durch die rabenschwarze Nacht.
Laut Wetterbericht sollten wir eigentlich erst morgen Mittag in den Flautenbereich kommen…
…aber wir machen das Beste daraus und motoren jetzt halt auf direktem Kurs zum Cabo Sao Vicente an der SW-Ecke Portugals.
Wer jetzt Lust bekommt, auch ein bisschen Hochsee-Luft zu schnuppern: Auf unserem Törn Gibraltar - Preveza (quer durchs Mittelmeer ;-)) sind noch Plätze frei! Das ist eine Mischung aus

Sunshine - only 1m waves…and since 30 minutes unfortunately nearly no
wind
Last night we had a lot more of that, than we would have liked. Sometimes 8 Bft for extended periods. As we are only three on board now, we already had reefed
looking ahead, so that the off-watches would get enough sleep.
That nearly worked, but at around 02:00 am the wind was getting stronger and stronger and finally two of us had to get on deck to furl in our gib.
After that we still had some crazy speed, with only the mainsail up in 3rd reef.
We were speeding through the pitch-black night at 8-12kn
According to the weather report, we were supposed to have a good breeze until tomorrow afternoon before hitting the calms…
… but we don’t complain, and are just motoring straight towards Cabo Sao Vicente on the SW-corner of Portugal.

There are still few places available on our trip from Gibraltar to Preveza (Greece) - once across the MED. This is going to be a nice mixture of Blue-Water-Sailing
and coastal cruising with some nice stops in Spain, Italy or Corsica island on the way (we’ll see where the wind blows us).
